Mr. Jimmy Antia joined the Innovation & Learning (I&L) Division of the Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in July 2017. Mr. Antia serves as a key expert for ISG in creating assessment, monitoring, and evaluation (AME) policies for Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) programs and aiding the US Department of Defense (DoD) in implementing AME reforms across Security Cooperation programs.
Prior to joining ISG, Mr. Antia spent over ten years in the federal government, as either a civilian or contractor, in both the environmental and defense sectors. His governmental experience includes working as a civilian with the US Army, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the US House of Representatives.
While working as a special assistant in the Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict office, Mr. Antia created performance and evaluation guidelines for a $1 billion Security Cooperation program. Previously, he created metrics for special operators in austere environments.
As a Fulbright scholarship recipient, Mr. Antia researched environmental and development issues at the Development Observatory at the University of Costa Rica, San Pedro. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois and a Master of Arts in International Relations from the Tufts University.
