SPP-101 Introduction to the State Partnership Program

SPP-101 is a foundational-level course in the State Partnership Program functional track introducing the Department of Defense's State Partnership Program (SPP). The course is designed for the SPP-curious who which to become an informed advocate for the program. It provides a foundational understanding of the program including its description, history, key stakeholders, unique aspects, and how it serves as a key tool in U.S. Security Cooperation for Geographical Combatant Commands. By the end of this course, participants will be able to summarize the State Partnership Program under Title 10 U.S.C §341, understand how the National Guard manages and administers this DOD program, recognize the unique aspects of the State Partnership Program, and identify how the SPP supports strategic national security goals and objectives. 

This self-paced 1-hour online training (OLT) course is delivered through Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD). Learners will be guided through course content accompanied by interactive activities to enhance the learning experience. 

At the end of the course, students will have two opportunities to achieve an 80% or better on the final multiple-choice assessment to receive their certificate of completion.
