BPC-110 Ethics of Security Cooperation

BPC-110, Ethics of Security Cooperation, is the foundational-level course in the Building Partner Capacity pathway which explores how partners justify ethical action in international affairs. Special attention is given to the origins of group identify and how this impacts partner’s security choices.  The student will explore the concepts of social dominance, authoritarianism, cooperative internationalism and militant internationalism. This course examines the significance of international political morality in shaping individual and collective conduct of foreign relations.
This 4-hour virtual instructor-led training (VILT) is comprised of two, 2-hour synchronous sessions in Blackboard.
At the end of the course, students will have two opportunities to achieve an 80% or better on the final short answer assessment to receive their certificate of completion.
In addition, students are asked to complete the course evaluation at the end of the course to provide valuable feedback on course design, content, and instruction.
