CD-220 Defense Organizations and Functions

Members of the Security Cooperation Workforce - especially new members - must have an understanding of how Allied and Partner nation defense organizations are organized, manned, trained and equipped. This course looks at some of the critical defense organization functions, such as resourcing, different categories of budgeting, and how resources are prioritized. Students are expected to understand defense organizations such as a Ministry of Defense, a General Staff, and Joint Operational Commands and how they differ from the American defense construct. This course is especially critical for SC workforce members dealing directly with Allies and Partners on a day to day basis.
