Ms. Brooke Love Adame serves as a Budget Analyst for Institute Operations at the Institute for Security Governance. Ms. Adame began supporting this division in 2022. Her primary responsibilities are to support continued transformation initiatives within ISG to improve Institute-wide customer service with an emphasis on supporting the management and oversight of ISG’s diverse budgeting portfolio of T10 and T22 funded activities.
Ms. Adame began her federal service in 2007 as a Senior Consultant at the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), proving program administration and financial management support to the International Defense Acquisition Resource Management (IDARM) Program global in-residence and mobile education courses. Her role expanded in 2012 as a Faculty Associate and she began teaching in the bi-annual International Defense Acquisition Negotiations course. In 2015, Ms. Adame began leading curriculum design and program development within IDARM’s Latin America and the Caribbean regional portfolio. Her significant contributions are highlighted by designing the first annual regionally tailored ISG in-residence course conducted with simultaneous interpretation for native Spanish speaking partners. She also established and sustained a multi-year partnership with the SOUTHCOM-J5 and the DoS Central America Maritime Regional Initiative (CAMRI), leading graduate level maritime maintenance and logistics courses for Central American partners. In addition to her role as Course Director, Ms. Adame served as the Budget Director for IDARM, and supported ISG leadership and the Educational Professional Practice team by providing subject matter expertise to inform annual strategic planning.
Ms. Adame holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in International Relations from California State University, Chico. She earned a double-minor in Latin American and Environmental Studies through an international student exchange at la Universidad Nacional in Heredia, Costa Rica. Ms. Adame is completing her Master of Science in Program Management in the Department of Defense Management at NPS. Her thesis work focuses on defense program manager sensemaking and decision-making within the defense acquisition management system. Her other research and teaching interests include international negotiations; human capital and change management; and logistics and supply chain management.
