Ms. Chloe Belmont joined the Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in October 2018 and served as Operations Coordinator for the Institute Operations. After seven months in the seat, Ms. Belmont was promoted to the Senior Operations Lead for contract support and provided direct supervision to all operations contract personnel, to include oversight of mission-essential travel and logistics planning. In 2020, she was promoted to her current position as an IOD Faculty Associate, Programs & Operations Support Lead. In this position, Ms. Belmont provides leadership and support for all logistic and operational planning for CONUS and OCONUS Mobile Education Team and Institutional Capacity Building (ICB) Advising efforts. Within this scope, Ms. Belmont provides direct oversight towards the country clearance team and tasks of contracting and FFRDC partners. She is also the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) on the GSA FEDSIM - DSCU contract.
Prior to joining ISG, Ms. Belmont spent five years working alongside government personnel serving as an Operations Coordinator at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California. There, Ms. Belmont managed logistical and operational support for the Master's Program, Fusion Center Leader's Program, Radiological Emergency Preparedness Executive Education Program, and the Executive Leaders Program.
In her role as Operations Coordinator for the Executive Leaders Program at CHDS, Ms. Belmont's work with leading national senior officials provided a large foundation for resource and operational planning in the public sector. She attended an ethics-based conference in Washington, D.C., highlighting the importance of mental health in relation to national security and coordinated alongside a retired Captain from the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division who specializes in the fight against Mexican cartels, border security, and transnational crime. Prior to her tenure in the public sector, Ms. Belmont served as an Events Specialist and Planner in several private sector fields.
Ms. Belmont holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University and a Bachelor’s in Human Communication with a concentration in Practical and Professional Ethics from California State University, Monterey Bay. Ms. Belmont is a Central Coast native and resides in Monterey with her husband and son.
