Ms. Gail Johnson began working for the Center for Civil-Military Relations (CCMR), now the Institute for Security Governance (ISG), as Secretary and Assistant to the International Military Student Officer (IMSO). Prior to the new IMSO coming on board, Ms. Johnson handled IMSO duties, ensuring all international students received their pay while attending courses at the Institute. As secretary, Ms. Johnson maintains the Director’s calendar and has become the purchasing agent for the department.
Ms. Johnson began working for the federal government (Army) in 1979 as a Word Processor for the Organizational Effectiveness Center and School (OECS) and for the Judge Advocate’s Office for investigations Fort Ord.
Ms. Johnson has worked as secretary at the Department of Facility Engineers (DFAE), OECS, Personnel Control Facility (PCF), Commissary, Directorate of Logistics (DOL), Directorate of Planning, Training, Mobilization (DPTM), and at the Navy as an Educational Technician for the Combat Systems (CSST).
Ms. Johnson has an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Draughons Junior College, Clarksville, Tennessee; an Associate of Arts degree from Monterey Peninsula College, Monterey; and has certification from the USBANK banking system. Ms. Johnson has two daughters and three granddaughters.
