Dr. Keebom Kang teaches defense logistics, defense-focused supply chain management, and life cycle management courses for the IDARM (International Defense Acquisition Resource Management) program at the Institute for Security Governance (ISG).
Dr. Kang retired in 2018 from the Graduate School of Defense Management of the US Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) after teaching 30 years as a logistics professor. He served as the Chair of the Operations and Logistics Management program for eight years. He taught logistics engineering, supply chain management, operations management, and modeling and simulation courses for the MBA program as well as Systems Engineering. He also taught various IDARM courses in more than 20 countries as a guest lecturer for 18 years.
Dr. Kang has worked on many research projects in the areas of logistics, and modeling and simulation, which were sponsored by the US Navy, US Marine Corps, and the US Army. He has published numerous theoretical and applied papers in technical journals, conference proceedings, and books.
Dr. Kang received his Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and is a recipient of the US Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award. He also received Admiral Tamandaré Merit Medal (Medalha Mérito Tamandaré) from the Brazilian Navy in 2019.
