Mr. Wade Evans joined the Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in December 2020 as a Regional Program Lead for the Middle East and Central Asia team. He joined ISG from DSCA Headquarters, where he served as the Director, Plans and Program Design since April 2018, with responsibility for Section 333 and T10/T22 planning integration.
Mr. Evans is a career Naval Officer, currently a Captain in the Navy Reserve. A Surface Warfare Officer, he has served in command roles five times to include the USNAVCENT Security Cooperation Unit and Headquarters Surface Forces Atlantic. Mr. Evans is currently the Commanding Officer of the NATO Allied Command Transformation Multinational unit.
While recalled to active duty, Mr. Evans served as the Building Partner Capacity program lead at USSOCOM and the Chief, Combating Terrorism Division at USCENTCOM. Additionally, he served as the civilian, Chief of the Office of Military Cooperation in Doha, Qatar. Earlier in his career Mr. Evans was an Exchange Officer with the Royal Navy and served as the Flag Lieutenant to the Commander, NATO Standing Naval Forces Atlantic.
Mr. Evans has a BS in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and a MA in National Security Studies from Nova Southeastern University. He is a Joint qualified Officer and has completed Joint Professional Military Education at the Air Command and Staff College and the Joint Forces Staff College, as well as the Joint Services Staff College in the United Kingdom. At DSCA, Mr. Evans was awarded the World of Excellence Award.
