Mr. Wade Evans joined the Institute for Security Governance (ISG) in December 2020 as a Middle East and Central Asia Regional Program Lead within the Regional Advising & Division. Mr. Evans supports United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) working with partner nations in the Middle East and Central Asia on Institutional Capacity Building (ICB).
Prior to joining ISG, Mr. Evans was the Division Chief for Planning and Program Design within the Strategy, Plans, and Policies Directorate at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). He began his federal civilian government service career as the Office of Military Cooperation Chief in Doha, Qatar. A Captain in the Naval Reserve, Mr. Evans has held command five times to include his current role as Commanding Officer of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Allied Command Transformation Multinational Detachment.
A Surface Warfare Officer, he served as the Combatting Terrorism Division Chief at USCENTCOM and the Building Partner Capacity Lead at United States Special Operations Command.
Mr. Evans holds a Master of Arts in National Security Studies from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy. A qualified Joint Officer, he also completed joint military education programs at the Joint Forces Staff College and the Air Command and Staff College. Additionally, he completed the United Kingdom Reserve Sea Service program at the Joint Staff College in Shrivenham, England.
