Shemella and Tomb Co-Edit New Volume Entitled “Security Forces in African States: Cases and Assessment”
CCMR faculty and staff have collaborated to publish a new book focusing on the role of security forces in African countries. The volume, entitled “Security Forces in African States: Cases and Assessment,” is edited by former CTFP director/CCMR instructor Paul Shemella along with Nicholas Tomb, current director of the AFRICA Program.
CCMR Discusses Maritime Security in US-Indonesia Seminar in Jakarta
From 28 February – 02 March 2017, CAPT Tim Doorey and Dr. Peter Chalk of CCMR’s Maritime Security Program supported a joint Naval War College, Naval Postgraduate School, and Indonesian Ministry of Defense seminar in Jakarta, Indonesia entitled “Maritime Defense in the Littoral Environment.”
CCMR Hosts Seminar on Inter-Ministerial Coordination with the Republic of Mali
From 22-28 January 2017, CCMR hosted a 16-person delegation from Mali at its headquarters in Monterey, California. Organized by the AFRICA program at CCMR, the event was designed to engage with the Republic of Mali on the subject of national security planning.
